Over the last few years a standard range of Euro cutters has evolved which will fit many of the small moulding blocks currently available, with limiters. The locating pins are 6mm diameter and are spaced 24mm apart. These cutters can be used with a number of different brands of Euro-style moulding block including the CMT block shown to the right.
For those who are unfamiliar with spindle moulder tooling, limiters are a safety device designed to limit the amount of cut taken by the cutters on each rotation of the block. They take the form of a dummy cutter with the profile cut a millimetre or two below the cutter profile and the sharp edges removed. They fit into the slots in the block in front of the main cutters and are secured by the same wedge as the cutters.
