Profile Cutters
Our in-house profile grinder, John, is one of the best in the business and is always inundated with jobs to do for our customers. We can supply cutters & limiters for most types of cutter block including Euro type, Whitehill, Serrated back, Leitz etc.
Below is a bit of an insight as to the process to making a set of custom cutters.

The job starts life with either a fax or a visit from our customers and either a sketch to show the dimensions and shape of the required cutter or a sample of wood with the pattern already on for us to work from. |

The supplied design is then transferred to paper and inserted in our graphic design computer where John then digitises the drawing to input it into the system. |

This is where the fun begins... The template is then mounted on our grinding machine as you can see in the bottom right of the picture. This is joined to the grinder and as John moves the grinding head to follow the template, the grinding wheel then cuts out the exact pattern on the cutter. |

Thats it!! Once they have been cut, they are placed together and dipped in the protective coating, and they are ready for the customer to pop in and collect and start using!!!! |
